The primary objective of these tailor made courses is for the participants to learn and develop skills while engaged in making a specific individual project of their choice.

Due to the flexible nature of these courses it is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn something new or further develop existing skills and techniques. The areas available include, but are not limited to:

Client profile;
Artist specialising in dynamic 3D work wanted to make bigger work.
Skills required: welding, fabrication and general metalwork to work mainly with steel.
Course duration 30 hours
Project chosen:
Design and build a small wood burning stove for mobile workshop.
Skills developed:
  • Measuring, marking metal, calculating fabrication allowances.
  • Abrasive, Plasma and Oxy-gas cutting.
  • Assembling steel components and sub assemblies
  • MMA and MIG welding
  • Drilling steel
